Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 70s. Lennox's budget was increased by a stipend for students as well as part-time employment. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her abilities compared to the other students at Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox was a flute player in a band named Dragons Playground in 1976. She quit the group prior to their appearance on I.T.V's talents program New Faces. She was the main vocalist of The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to the year 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox began work with Diva in 1992. This was her debut album as a solo artist. Both commercially as well as critically it was a huge achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was Released in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is a philanthropist, activist as well as a performer. The Tourists were a new-wave group that had some recognition in the 1970s. Later, Lennox was joined by the band with fellow artist Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992, by releasing her debut album Diva. It featured many well-known songs, including Walking on Broken Glass and Why. Medusa is her album in 1995. studio has version covers of No MoreI Love Yous or A Whiter Shade of Pale. She has six solo studio albums as well as a compilation album to her credit. |
